At what point does being better than them just becomes complicit in their actions though?
I don't have Big Mutant Powers and I'm not visibly a mutant, I change my hair color and my face to look cute, so maybe I don't have much of a bone in this fight (even though eventually these things WOULD trickle down to people with "harmless" powers) but if being "better" than the hateful people means just standing by and letting them hurt others, then... is it worth it to be better? I'd rather take care of the people who need it.
And I agree! That learning control over destructive powers is a good thing. From what I've gathered that's kind of what this place does? Or did? That's great. People should learn so they don't have to worry about hurting themselves or others. But if we let the government control that, then what's the cost?
