It occurs to me...

That we haven't had a big group social outing in quite a while. Conveniently enough, Star Wars Episode III just came out today. Isn't that handy? :)

So I'm thinking we head out to a mall, grab dinner at the food court, and settle in for lightsabers and Wookies and the Dark Side of the Force. What say you?

For me, I plan on burritos the size of my forearm from Chipotle. And the really hot salsa that they keep in the back and you have to ask for specifically. This secret brought to you by Douglas Aaron "I Make War Upon My Taste Buds" Ramsey. ;-)

Anyways, I'll check showtimes if everyone's interested.

They push each other apart, or they flip around and stick together.

Ever seen Shiro make a fireball? That's plasma. He can generate a field to shape it and channel it. If I tried to mimic that mechanically? For starters, the device would probably be the size of my LEG. And second? Power consumption would be insane.

I thought Shiro's fireballs were FIRE, you know? Being -fireballs- and and not plasmaballs.

Technically fire is a low-level sort of plasma, being the fourth state of matter, charged particles that behave mostly like a gas, but partially like energy. You've got about two more years of hard science before you get into that, though.

Dude, I'm barely making a B in Biology and you think I'm going to do science that tells me that there's more than solid, liquid, gas?

Don't worry, I don't think Physics is a graduation requirement, especially the third-year AP stuff.

I'm taking Dirt Science next year anyway. Geology and Earth Science sounds neat and it has parts that are outside! Science when its not numbers makes sense.

I know as much about physics as the next artistically-motivated high school student. Maybe you ought to sit me down and explain to me how my powers actually work. I've never taken the time to figure it out on my own. I just try stuff out and see what happens.
