Intervention, or something

Hey, can someone who knows their way around the techie geek labs do me a favor and make sure Forge showers or something? He hasn't been in his bed for an entire night, and his stuff's all messed up like he had to go somewhere fast.

If he's fallen asleep at his work bench, I get to wake him up with a wedgie, though.

Paige, I'm not about to say you and Jono should not be happy, or express that you're happy, because other people are not. The world would be a worse place if 'twas impossible or inappropriate or wrong to find any joy as long as something's wrong somewhere, I think.

But I will just say there's a good argument to make that I'm the most naive and sheltered person with easy access to the post you made -- and I'm sure there are people who'd be happy to make it -- and 'twas entirely plain to me what you meant to do. If what you did or said were considered inappropriate here, I'm sure someone in authority would have called you on it, and that's not my place to decide. But not being out of line wouldn't mean you had no effect.

That said, Kyle's right, if he'd meant to be gone this long I'd think he would have packed something.

I'm not sure what you're saying. Jonothan and I went to the city to spend some time together. We haven't seen each other in ten months. We knew, no, I knew that the fact that we're happy to have each other back would bother some people, so yes, we did, as I said, go to NYC, out of sight of those people.

How would it have been "in line" for one of us to be driving home at 4 in the morning after spending all day and night in the city? Because yes, that's about the time the two of us turned in for the night and went to sleep.

I just don't appreciate my responsibility and trying to think of others being called on as, well, exactly the opposite.

But as I said. Forge missing is much more important right now than my hurt feelings. That is what we need to be concentrating on.

I think you know exactly what I'm saying and that you're very skilful at making other people appear to be in the wrong.

But by all means, if you could be helping to find Forge, you need not be talking to me.

Huh. I'm not sure what exactly I did to wrong you, Rahne, but what part of "Forge is more important" didn't you understand?

Let's drop this now, please.

I never said you did anything at all to me.

I did say, by all means, if you've something to do for Forge, ignore me and do it. If there's something I can do, tell me!

I must have misread you, Rahne, I'm sorry; Forge is very important to me.

And that's just it. I'm going over everything I can, and it still feels like I'm just banging my head against the wall.

You and he and all the rest have my prayers. And hands, if there's anything I can do, directly or to get other tasks out of the way.

Since Rahne's too polite to say it...

Announcing on your journal "we're off to the city, don't expect back until Tuesday morning" was as good as saying "we're off fucking, don't wait up." Not that there's anything wrong with fucking, and hell, ten months is a long time to miss a person. More luck to you.

But announcing it to all and sundry, especially when we all know Forge has a massive crush on you, the way you did could be considered a bit of the thoughtless side of things. Especially when there's been nothing said publically by you along the lines of "Thanks Forge and Moira for helping me get Jono back in the land of the embodied". Catseye's just saying what a lot of us were thinking - Forge had a reason to feel upset and hurt and rejected and now he's gone.

*shrugs* Just calling it the way I see it.

As for helping find him... Location spell won't work on Forge. There's that whole metal issue again, and I can't get a fix.

Read: what I said to Rahne.

You? Have no idea if I said thanks to Forge and Moira privately. We don't all need to make everything a big public event where everyone can see it.

Which is why I am requesting if you would like to continue "calling it like you see it" that you do it in email, thank you.

Can we sheathe the claws, ladies? Forge is MISSING. Fight about who did what with who AFTER we find him.

I'm trying, hon.

You're good with Maths, right? Want to come help me go CSI down in the labs? It's number 7.

I'm done. I'll be in my study, seeing if I can't get around the magic limits with some lateral thinking.
