The X-Project

Greetings. We are in the middle of the first week of summer of 2010, and this weekend there will be a very exciting event. There will be a a street fair held in the part of town now known as District X. This are is also known as "Mutant Town" due to the large number of mutants who reside within these particular city blocks. I would like to encourage people to visit the street fair one day this weekend; I know I will be in attendance. Local people will be showing and selling various items and it can be fun just to see what is available even if you do not buy anything.

I also recommend that people who wish to go do so in groups or in pairs, and that Xavier's residents carry their school-issued cellphones with them at all times. I sincerely hope that there will not be any trouble, but it is both safer and more fun to go places with people instead of going alone.

As those of you involved with Red X already know, a call has gone out for help with the recent flooding in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. People must be evacuated, even if they do not wish to leave, and some people who wish to leave will be trapped and unable to do so without help. Of course, there will be damage from the flood, and safety is a must.

If you are interested in helping out with Red X and have not already told someone that you will be going, please inform me, or one of the mansion residents currently involved in this summer's Red X field leader training program, of your intentions. We will be leaving early tomorrow morning.
