x_crowdofone and I had an idea, and I figured I should run it past
all the official types (no, I can't read your thing, but that doesn't mean I don't remember where it is in the system. :p)
Anyways, we were wondering if we could have a BBQ next weekend.
x_crowdofone volunteered to grill (including corn on the cob!) and I'm gonna make cookies and potato salad. Other chefs would be
highly appreciated, and if you want to come you should R.S.V.P. here so we know how many burgers and stuff to make.
So, can we do this Professor? And can we get somebody to take us to the grocery store on Friday to get supplies?

Either way, if Charles isn't willing to foot the bill (which I'm sure he will be), I'll cover the expenses. It can make up for the fact that I can't cook to save my life.

Date: 2003-05-19 09:46 pm (UTC)Ooh, hey, before we put together the grocery list, is anybody veggie, or, I dunno, have weird mutant-related diet things? Because we should think about that.

Oh, hey. You want to try and get permission to do fireworks afterward? You don't have to, but it'd be awfully nice I think.

Date: 2003-05-20 05:54 pm (UTC)but naw there isn't anything food wise i want. i can ask the professor about the fireworks. i've been working on color specific too, even though it's not useful in...well battle situations. but yeah, i'll talk to you later.

Date: 2003-05-20 11:00 am (UTC)Sounds like you have all the meat settled, but what's an outing without leafy greens. I could make salad for the masses and I wouldn't mind helping Theresa with the desserts. I don't think bringing strawberries and cream would be too much, but I could always go with watermelon for simplicity's sake.
I can't fathom a picnic without smoked salmon. Is anyone else interested in at least trying it?
